AGM Report

01/10/2006

It's taken a while as my PC broke and then I went on holiday and then I got depressed and tried to drown myself in Lime Jelly.

Headlines

The majority of positions were unchanged, however there were a few changes:

Nick Barclay and Andy Cassin were elected as vice presidents.

Also, very encouragingly, we had three new committee members without any specific role but to help out and give a broader input: Garry Wait, Simon Day and Kev Benton.

Kit: We have decided to buy new kits for all the teams so that we can look good for the new season. They will be ordered this week and we should have them in the next few weeks. We also decided to go for plain green shirts rather than the quarters.

Website: The view of the meeting was that everyone values the website highly and would want to see it continued. If you are happy to do that, that would be everyone's choice as many people commented on how well regarded it is both within the club and outside in the wider league. There was a commitment from all the Captains that they would get reports posted each week from someone in their team.

Other things such as ground/sponsorship/training etc were discussed and referred back to the main committee to take forward.

On a very sad note Steve Fine informed the meeting of the sudden passing away of Mark Ryder (John's son) who played for the club in the 80's and 90's. Not sure of all the details, but all the games this week will have a minutes silence beforehand.
