These are the regularly scheduled function events of the Club. Special events will be featured in the news pages and diary page.
Annual General Meeting - This takes place, as the name suggests, once a year. Normally, this would be at the end of the season, just after the Club Dinner, but it's been a bit erratic over the past few seasons.
The location is, more often than not, the back room of the Nutley Hall - a pub with which the club has a long relationship. It is an open meeting, which is to say that all Club members are invited to attend. The meeting is chaired by the Club Chairman, with the Vice-Chairman and Club Secretary at his side.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss all matters of interest to the Club, to agree on how the Club is to proceed in the new season. This includes matters such as the need for new kit, where we hold hospitality, sponsorship, etc. The agenda has certain fixed subjects, such as the Treasurer's report and Secretary's report, but it is as large as those attending want it to be.
This is held on a monthly basis throughout the season, on the second Thursday, normally in the back room of the Nutley Hall pub. The meeting is chaired by the Club Chairman, with the Vice Chairman and Secretary at his side. The meeting is open only to Committee members, and those who have been especially invited.
The purpose of the meeting is to keep the business end of the Club functioning properly, ensuring that all the unssen, but important metters are dealt with; pitches and referees, changing facilities, hospitality, all money matters, membership, league news, sponsorship, cups, etc, etc. Along with this, is the additional matters that pop up, special events, etc.
The Club Committee is really the list of officers, plus vice-Captains and other duly-designated members.
This takes place every Monday throughout the season, normally at The Market Hotel. It is Chaired by the Selection Chairman and is open only to team Captains and vice-Captains.
The purpose of the meeting is to collect information about the matches played the previous Saturday, note scores and scorers, who played well, who looks as though they should be moving to play higher and finally to select the teams for the forthcoming week's fixtures.
This is held only when needed, which thankfully has not been much at all over the past years.
It is called if it is thought that the bahaivour of a member or members of the Club is not that which is expected and is causing harm to the reputation of the Club, this can be on the field conduct, such as red cards, or off-the-field activities.
It is attended by the Chairman of the Club, the member(s) in question and that member's Captain. Other people can be brought in with the agreement of all parties.
